The star on this beautiful studio pottery vase is the unique glaze over the sculpted ribbed sides. The drips and speckles and layers of purple glaze are very artfully done. This piece is signed on the underside by the artist, and what looks to be '56 date. A very sizeable vase, and it would look great with large flowers, twigs, or just as art in a bookcase.
